The PA looks really convenient and spacey with better stability, but I'll be facing stiff winds at The 12 fit my needs for lake fishing, bay fishing and beach launch inshore fishing. Both are very stable but the PA has an edge on You don't loose anything on speed - the 14 is actually a tiny bit faster than the 12. With the added Hobie inflatable seat cushion, it is a very comfortable seat. In the end, it all depends on you and what you plan to do with it.
